Bring Your Own Device (BYOD)

Teaching Digital Literacies through the use of personally-owned devices increases the likelihood that lessons taught with these devices may be associated with the devices beyond the classroom. Often, our "online etiquette" that is taught in computer labs remains linked only with behaviours expected at school.

Bring Your Own Device Resources

Teachers use their knowledge of subject matter, teaching and learning, and technology to facilitate experiences that advance student learning, creativity, and innovation in both face-to-face and virtual environments. Click here to get started with BYOD.

BYOD Policies

There are a variety of policies used around our province. Choose the language and the expectations that work for your individual school or classroom based on the experience level you and your learners have with the use of personal technology for learning. Click here for policy samples.
